A campground reservation, from availability to cancellation

Can a guest and staff explain the same reservation from availability through cancellation? A selected site, temporary hold and confirmed stay are different states. The quote and reservation history need to remain understandable when a request conflicts or a guest changes plans.

The restored review portal uses a separate synthetic calendar and database. A guest selects dates, receives a fifteen-minute nightly hold and reviews an itemized frozen quote before confirming a demo stay. No real campsite or card payment is involved.

The rehearsed June 4–6, 2027 example uses two illustrative $68 nights and a $4 service fee: $140 in total, with no taxes calculated. Cancellation retains the reservation history and releases the nights. A stale quote is refused, another guest cannot open the reservation and a conflicting hold cannot allocate the same nights.

Deposit, refund, revenue-recognition and reservation-to-ledger handoffs remain proposed financial extensions. Real inventory continues on Campspot. Published site references, capacities, prices and policies still require operator confirmation.

The review environment and both original hostnames are restored, including the matching filestore. The local guest lifecycle passed twice at desktop and mobile sizes, including guest isolation and reset checks. All payment providers are inactive and general outgoing mail is disabled.

These are technical rehearsal results for synthetic records, not evidence of production booking, settlement or business savings. Staff/finance screen review, accounting language and operator/client-detail acceptance remain open.
